The List

So, what's this all about then?
The Day Zero project is a challenge to complete 101 preset tasks in 1001 days (roughly 2.75 years). Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and challenging.

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

Why I'm doing it:
Every year I make new years resolutions that I never fulfil; the day zero project is a great tool to beat procrastination and also provides some sort of outline for how I want my life to look over the next few years.

Here we go...

Tasks in bold are completed.
Tasks in italics are in progress.

  1. Hey! I found your list on Day Zero (I'm not a spambot, I swear) and a lot of our goals are actually very similar! I loved the Skittles vodka thing too-- my roommates and I are thinking about doing that soon, so having the link now is great. Keep up the great progress!
